Propolis applications in food industries and packaging

Abstract Propolis has been utilized as a natural bio-product from beekeeping for various applications such wound healing, food packaging, and production. However, the of propolis additives are limited by low oral bioavailability, bitter taste, aroma. The current review investigates recent techniques, encapsulation, microencapsulation, film casting, composite materials, which enhance availability applications. enhances mechanical properties, oxygen moisture barrier, antioxidant, microbial resistance resulting materials. Therefore, utilization composites an effective packaging in future is promising. Based on these results, industry can benefit developing propolis-based composite. Graphical
